HOTCUS data protection policies

At HOTCUS we take data protection seriously and will not pass on your information to any third parties.

We collect data on the following: your name and title; your institutional affiliation; membership type; postal and email addresses; your research and teaching interests. We also hold data on your membership subscription type and preferred payment method.

We only use this data for our own purposes: to alert you to HOTCUS activities and other news from the field via a weekly news mailing, and to inform you of any changes in your membership status.

We give new members the opportunity to opt out from receiving the weekly news mailing when they join HOTCUS. If any existing members would also prefer to opt out, they can contact the Membership Secretary who will remove them from the mailing list.

We will keep your data only for as long as your membership is current. You can terminate your membership at any time by contacting the Membership Secretary or by cancelling your membership payments.

If you have any questions about how HOTCUS handles your data, you should contact the Membership Secretary. Any complaints should be directed to the Information Commissioner’s Office, https://ico.org.uk/.
