The HOTCUS Awards Programme offers several forms of financial awards and prizes designed to recognise and support excellence in American twentieth century historical scholarship:
- The HOTCUS Article Prize and Early Career Article Prize, awarded annually to the best article produced by established and early career researchers in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal by a HOTCUS member.
- The HOTCUS Research Awards, which provide funding for the support research costs such as research trips, digitization, and attendance at conferences.
- The Postgraduate Paper Prize, which recognises the best paper given each year at the HOTCUS annual conference by a postgraduate student.
- The HOTCUS BAME Undergraduate Essay Prize and the HOTCUS BAME Postgraduate Essay Prize, which recognizes the best undergraduate or postgraduate essay produced by a scholar of a BAME background.
